Floating City envisions a speculative future where technology and connectivity reshape the way humans inhabit the world. This project imagines autonomous, off-grid floating cells as the basic living units of a new urban condition. Each cell is self-sustaining and mobile, able to fly or land freely, granting inhabitants the ability to relocate at will. When clustered, these cells aggregate into dynamic communities, supported by specialized public modules such as restaurants, cultural spaces, and shared facilities.
Rather than a fixed metropolis, the city becomes a fluid constellation of nomadic dwellings—an ever-shifting network that allows individuals to wake up by the ocean, work above the mountains, and dine in a collective hub at sunset. In this scenario, urbanism is liberated from geography, and lifestyle is defined by choice, movement, and experience. The project positions this deconstructive vision as both utopian and provocative: questioning permanence, stability, and the very meaning of “city” in an age of boundless digital and technological mobility.
